Therapy isn’t what our parents told us it would be.
Many of us grew up hearing the message that needing therapy is a sign of weakness— that asking for help is an admission of defeat. We were taught to question ourselves, to prioritize conformity and submission, at the expense of our light.
Here’s the truth: Therapy is the opportunity to claim your voice and reclaim your power. It is a weapon against marginalization; a balm for mental and emotional distress. It is a commanding tool you can use to build the life you want.
When you embark on a journey in therapy, all facets of your identity should be welcomed, affirmed, and celebrated. Whether you come alone or with a partner (or partners), you will find that affirmation in my practice and in the space we create together.
